No one signed up for the scheduled comment period on 18-0660. 18-0660 A bill for an ordinance amending Article 1 of Chapter 15 of the Revised Municipal Code of the City and County of Denver to update municipal petition procedures, including the creation of a fiscal impact estimate and ballot information booklet for municipal citizen initiated and referred measures, providing more specific deadlines, conforming circulator requirements to recent court decisions, and lowering the age for an individual to circulate a petition. A motion offered by Councilmember López, duly seconded by Brooks, that Council Bill 18-0660 be approved for filing carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Flynn, Clark, Black, Susman, Kniech, López, Brooks Nay: 0 18-0641 A bill for an ordinance increasing the sales and use tax by a rate of 0.25 percent and dedicating the revenue derived from the tax rate increase to fund Denver parks, trails, and open space, subject to the approval of the voters at a special municipal election to be conducted in coordination with the state general election on November 6, 2018. Refers a measure to the eligible voters in Denver to extend the sales and use tax to be used to fund Denver’s parks and open space.
