Minutes Finance & Governance Committee Committee Members: Flynn, Chair; Kniech, Vice-Chair; Black, Espinoza, Kashmann, Susman Committee Staff: Jonathan Griffin Tuesday, October 30, 2018, 1:30 PM City & County Building, Room 391 Attendance Present: 7- Flynn, Kniech, Black, Susman, Espinoza, Kashmann, Clark Action Items 18-1248 Amends Chapter 18 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code (DRMC) pertaining to the Denver Employees Retirement Plan (DERP) by increasing employee and employer contributions, specifying that benefit payments shall be issued on the first business day of the month, removing and clarifying obsolete language, and by allowing the retirement board to delegate the selection of trustees, custodians and investment managers to other fiduciaries. A motion offered by Councilmember Susman, duly seconded by Councilmember Black, that Council Bill 18-1248 be approved for filing. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Flynn, Kniech, Black, Susman, Espinoza, Kashmann, Clark Nay: 0 Presentations 18-1251 Deferred Compensation Program Update Executive Session Executive Session Discussion of Pending Litigation and Legal Matters - Will Not Be Televised Consent Items Block Vote A motion offered to approve the following items en bloc. A motion offered that Council Bill 18-1223 be approved by consent en bloc, carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Flynn, Kniech, Black, Susman, Espinoza, Kashmann, Clark Nay: 0 18-1224 Amends an on-call contract with AirVac Services Inc., by adding one year for a new end date of 9-30-19 for disposal service of grease, oil, sand and other materials found in sand traps, lift stations, grease traps and associated kitchen drain lines in all city buildings flowing to active grease traps, citywide. No change to contract amount (GENRL-201628266-01). A motion offered that Council Resolution 18-1224 be approved by consent en bloc, carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Flynn, Kniech, Black, Susman, Espinoza, Kashmann, Clark Nay: 0 18-1229 Amends the Classification and Pay Plan by abolishing 911 Systems Administrator II. A motion offered that Council Bill 18-1229 be approved by consent en bloc, carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Flynn, Kniech, Black, Susman, Espinoza, Kashmann, Clark Nay: 0 18-1230 Amends a contract with Carahsoft Technology Corporation by adding $3,500,000 for a new total of $7,500,000 for expansion and continued use of the Salesforce platform and connected applications and technologies for internal and external customer services, citywide. No change to contract duration (TECHS - 201419193-00).
