Minutes Finance & Governance Committee Committee Members: Flynn, Chair; Kniech, Vice-Chair; Black, Espinoza, Kashmann, Susman Committee Staff: Jonathan Griffin Tuesday, June 25, 2019, 1:30 PM City & County Building, Room 391 Attendance Present: 6- Flynn, Kniech, Black, Kashmann, Clark, Susman Absent: 1- Espinoza Action Items 19-0601 Approves the recommended 2020 changes to the City and County of Denver healthcare benefit plans. A motion offered by Kniech, duly seconded by Kashmann, that Council Bill 19-0601 be approved for filing. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Flynn, Kniech, Black, Kashmann, Clark, Susman Nay: 0 Absent: 1- Espinoza 19-0599 Approves a contract with Denver Health Medical Plan, Inc. for $8,840,000 and one year to provide medical benefit plans to eligible City employees and classified Denver Police employees (201846657). A motion offered by Kniech, duly seconded by Kashmann, that Council Resolution 19-0599 be approved for filing. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Flynn, Kniech, Black, Kashmann, Clark, Susman Nay: 0 Absent: 1- Espinoza 19-0600 Approves a contract with Vision Service Plan Insurance Company (VSP) for $840,000 and for one year to provide a vision benefit plan to eligible City employees and classified Denver Police employees (201948822). A motion offered by Susman, duly seconded by Kniech, that Council Bill 19-0611 be approved for filing. A motion offered that Council Bill 19-0603 be approved by consent en bloc, carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Flynn, Kniech, Black, Kashmann, Clark, Susman Nay: 0 Absent: 1- Espinoza 19-0604 Amends the Public Health and Wellness Fund from a lapsing fund to a non-lapsing fund and re-appropriates $100,000 that lapsed in 2018.
