Minutes Finance & Governance Committee Committee Members: Black, Chair; Kniech, Vice-Chair; Hinds; Gilmore; Ortega; CdeBaca Committee Staff: Jonathan Griffin Tuesday, December 10, 2019, 1:30 PM City & County Building, Room 391 Attendance Present: 6- Black, Kniech, Hinds, Gilmore, CdeBaca, Clark Absent: 1- Ortega Presentations 19-1352 Deferred Compensation Update Action Items 19-1340 Approves a purchase and sale agreement with Community Education Centers, Inc. for $1,300,000 to purchase property located at 4280 Kearney Street, known as Tooley Hall Residential Reentry Center, a community corrections facility, in Council District 8 (FINAN-201952877). A motion offered by CdeBaca, duly seconded by Vice Chair Kniech, that Council Bill 19-1340 be approved for filing. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Black, Kniech, Hinds, Gilmore, CdeBaca, Clark Nay: 0 Absent: 1- Ortega 19-1341 Approves a supplemental appropriation of $1,300,000 from 2019 General Fund Contingency to transfer cash to the Capital Improvements and Capital Maintenance Project Fund to purchase property located at 4280 Kearney Street, known as Tooley Hall Residential Reentry Center, a community corrections facility. A motion offered by CdeBaca, duly seconded by Vice Chair Kniech, that Council Bill 19-1341 be approved for filing. A motion offered by Gilmore, duly seconded by Clark, that Council Bill 19-1337 be approved for filing. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Black, Kniech, Hinds, Gilmore, CdeBaca, Clark Nay: 0 Absent: 1- Ortega 19-1338 Amends a lease agreement with DP Media Network LLC by adding $9,876,705.71 for a new total of $41,566,052.40 to lease an additional 25,193 square feet of office space on the 11th floor of the Denver Post building at 101 West Colfax Avenue for needed City office space. No change to contract duration (FINAN-201952609). A motion offered by Clark, duly seconded by Vice Chair Kniech, that Council Resolution 19-1338 be approved for filing.
