Mayor-Council Meeting Tuesday, June 27, 2023 Page 7 Human Services Jay Morein 23-0807 * Amends a contract with Colorado Women’s Employment Resolution and Education, Incorporated (CWEE) by adding $1,257,960 for a new total of $3,062,960 and one year for a new end date of 6-30-2024 to continue providing services to assist Colorado Works (CW)/ Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) participants with personal and family stabilization, case management and job skills development, citywide (SPCSV-202159631-02, SOCSV-202367651-02). 23-0830 Approves a contract with GardaWorld Federal Services for Resolution $40 million and through 3-31-2024, plus two 1-year options to extend, to help the city respond to the humanitarian border crisis by providing services for newly arriving migrants, including intake, medical screening, emergency sheltering and meals, reunification, and security, citywide (SOCSV_202368659). Parks and Recreation Jesús Orrantia 23-0811 * Approves a temporary construction access permit with R.G. Resolution Brinkmann Company through 12-31-2023 to access Arkins Promenade Park during construction of a new affordable housing development known as Chestnut Lofts, including adding a new sidewalk and completing pavement improvements in the adjacent right-of-way that would otherwise not be required, located in Council District 9 (PARKS-202367527). 23-0812 * Approves a caretaker agreement with Denver Park Ranger Resolution David Binkley through 12-31-2025 to seasonally reside at city-owned property located at Echo Lake Lodge to ensure the site has a staff presence, to perform general visitor welcoming duties, as well as to perform caretaker duties such as building and system inspections and maintenance (PARKS-202368050).
