Department of Housing Stability Sabrina Allie 23-1049 * Amends a contract with The Fax East Colfax Resolution Redevelopment, LLC by adding $293,953 for a new total of $1,277,409 to renovate additional units so that the total number of shelter units will be increased from 34 to 37, at the Sand & Sage Motel and Westerner Motel, which will operate temporarily as non-congregate shelter and will ultimately be redeveloped into affordable housing in Council District 8. Resolution for $2,000,000 and through 5-7-2024, plus 1 one-year option to extend, to purchase protective gear worn by firefighters, citywide (SC-0008212). Human Services Crystal Porter & Tami Tapia 23-1053 * Amends a contract with Maple Star Colorado by adding Resolution $212,000 for a new total of $879,000 and twelve months for a new ending date of 6-30-2024 to ensure that home studies are performed by state-trained and certified social workers, and to continue providing face-to-face contact visits for children in out-of-home care to ensure children’s wellbeing and safety are met, citywide (SOCSV-202369112-04 / SOCSV-201951729-00). 23-1054 * Amends an intergovernmental agreement with Colorado Bill Department of Human Service - Office of Child Support Services by adding $1,257,671.59 for a new total of $2,484,546.19 and 13 months for a new end date of 6-30-2024, to ensure Denver Human Services can continue to use Equifax Verification Services, citywide (SOCSV -202369017-01 / SOCSV-202263659-00). Parks and Recreation Jesus Orrantia 23-1037 * Amends an intergovernmental agreement Urban Drainage Bill and Flood Control District doing business as Mile High Flood District (MHFD), by adding $1,950,000 in city funds and $2,970,000 in MHFD funds for a new combined total of $5,270,000, for the construction of drainage and flood control improvements to the South Platte River in Council District 7.
