16-0801 Approves an ordinance designating the second Monday of October of
each year as Indigenous Peoples Day.

A motion offered by Councilmember Kashmann, duly seconded by
Councilmember Gilmore, that Bill 16-0801 be approved for filing. The motion
carried by the following vote:
Aye: 7- López, Kashmann, Flynn, Gilmore, Kniech, New, Brooks
Nay: 0
16-0800 Approves an agreement with CD-Inca, LLC in the amount of $2 million from
Community Development Block Grant funds and $1 million from OED
Affordable Housing Fund (General Fund) for five years with the loan being
structured as a repayable loan to assist in the financing for the land
purchase for future mixed income housing located at 4001 Inca Street in
the Sunnyside neighborhood in Council District 1
(OEDEV-201630376-00).

16-0778 Approves a 35-year loan agreement with Catholic Charities and
Community Services of the Archdiocese of Denver, Inc. (doing business as
Catholic Charities Denver) in the amount of $1 million from Community
Development Block Grant funds (HUD monies) structured as a
performance loan to provide acquisition financing for a new women’s
homeless shelter located at 6240 Smith Road, in Council District 8
(OEDEV-201630186-00).

16-0784 Approves the Mayoral appointments of Gerard Aflague and Luna Ly to the
Denver Asian American Pacific Islander Commission for terms effective
immediately and expiring 1-22-18, or until a successor is duly appointed.
The Committee approved filing this resolution by consent on 9-14-16.

16-0792 Amends a contract with The Salvation Army to add an additional $304,957
for a new contract in the amount of $1,810,210 and for a contract term
ending 12-31-16 for overnight housing for homeless men at the
Crossroads Shelter with the opportunity to increase housing in emergency
situations (SOCSV-2013-14454-05). The last regularly scheduled Council
meeting within the 30-day review period is on [DATE]. The Committee
approved filing this resolution by consent on 9-14-16.
