16-0936 A bill for an ordinance approving a proposed Fiscal Year 2017
Amendment to the Amended and Restated Operating Agreement between
the City and County of Denver and the Denver Health and Hospital
Authority providing for the amounts to be paid for services by the City and
County of Denver and by the Denver Health and Hospital Authority during
2017 and amending other provisions of the Operating Agreement.
Approves the 2017 Denver Health and Hospital Authority operating
agreement where Denver Health will receive $62,139,861 for services
provided to the City and the City will receive funds in the amount of
$2,503,800 for City services provided to Denver Health
(ENVHL-CE60436-28).
Bob McDonald, Environmental Health; Shaun Sullivan, City Attorney's
Office; Laurel Delmonico, Budget & Management; Dr. Bill Burman,
Peg Burnette, and Elbra Wedgeworth, Denver Health presented the
2017 proposed agreement with Denver Health. Staff described the
background and history, reviewed the structure of the agreementand
discussed the few key changes including transfer of Denver CARES,
implementing changes resulting from the audit, such as investment in
a jail record management system, City funds to infill for lost
sustance abuse grant funds, and a new position to analyze
emergency services. Staff also answered questions from
Councilmembers.
A motion offered by Councilmember Kniech, duly seconded by Councilmember
Gilmore, that Council Bill 16-0936 be approved carried by the following vote:

16-0926 A resolution approving the Mayor’s reappointments to the Denver
Commission for People with Disabilities.
Approves the Mayoral reappointments of Chris Hinds and Jackie King to
the Denver Commission for People with Disabilities for terms effective
immediately and expiring on 9-30-17, or until a successor is duly
appointed. The Committee approved filing this resolution by consent on
10-12-16.
This Resolution 16-0926 was approved by consent.
16-0927 A resolution approving the Mayor’s reappointments and appointments to
the Denver Women’s Commission.
Approves the Mayoral reappointments of Indya Clark, Lynn Noesner, Mary
Ricketson, Jill Wright, and the appointments of April Hansen, Shontel
Lewis, Leslie Sale, and Lisa Weinberg to the Denver Women’s
Commission for terms effective immediately and expiring 6-30-18, or until
successors are duly appointed. The Committee approved filing this
resolution by consent on 10-12-16.
This Resolution 16-0927 was approved by consent.
16-0931 Amends a contract with Meeting the Challenge, Inc. by adding $460,000 for
a new total contract in the amount of $610,000 and to add twenty-three
months for a new end date of 12-31-18, to provide consultation services on
the City's overall compliance with ADA and all duties and responsibilities
as assigned as outlined in the Project Civic Access (PCA) Settlement
Agreement (HRCRS-201418678-02).
