A motion offered by Councilmember Ortega, duly seconded by Councilmember López, that Council Bill 18-0975 be approved for filing carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Kashmann, Ortega, Gilmore, Kniech, López, New, Clark Nay: 0 Consent Items 18-0962 Approves a three-year $6 million contract with Environmental Hazmat Services, Inc. to collect discarded and abandoned solid wastes including putrescible wastes, medical waste, drug paraphernalia, and other materials in alleys, sidewalks, parks, and other public spaces (ENVHL-201844158-00). Council Resolution 18-0962 was approved by consent. 18-0970 Adds $765,000 and three years to a contract with Montrose Air Quality Services, LLC for a new total of $1 million and end date of 12-31-21 for ambient air quality sampling and monitoring services (ENVHL-201631526). Council Resolution 18-0980 was approved by consent. 18-0983 Approves the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Denver Fire Fighters-Local 858, IAFF, AFL-CIO for three years for pay and benefits including salary increases of 3.75% 2019, 3.25% in 2020, and 3.0% in 2021.
