A motion offered by Councilmember Sawyer, duly seconded by Councilmember Flynn, that Council Resolution 21-1233 be approved for filing, carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Kashmann, Kniech, Sandoval, Sawyer, Torres, Flynn, Gilmore Nay: 0 21-1266 Amends Article IX of Chapter 24 of the Revised Municipal Code, relating to environmental smoke control. A motion offered by Councilmember Flynn, duly seconded by Councilmember Torres, that Council Bill 21-1266 be approved for filing, carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Kashmann, Kniech, Sandoval, Sawyer, Torres, Flynn, Gilmore Nay: 0 There will be 15 minutes of public comment on item 21-1266. A) Briefing B) Public comment C) Discussion and action City and County of Denver Page 1 Printed on 10/27/2021 Minutes Safety, Housing, Education & Homelessness Committee Wednesday, October 27, 2021 21-1182 Amends Article IX of chapter 24, D.R.M.C., to ban the sale of flavored tobacco products and accessories. A motion offered by Councilmember Flynn, duly seconded by Councilmember Kniech, that Council Bill 21-1182 be postponed to November 17th, carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Kashmann, Kniech, Sandoval, Sawyer, Torres, Flynn, Gilmore Nay: 0 Consent Items 21-1207 Approves a contract with Mental Health Center of Denver for $1,391,579 and through 12-31-22 to expand the Support Team Assisted Response (STAR) program, including emergency medical technicians and behavioral health clinicians engaging those experiencing crisis related to mental health issues, poverty, homelessness, and substance abuse, from the current limited scope into a citywide program (202160835). Council Resolution 21-1207 was approved by consent 21-1235 Amends an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Sheridan by adding $2,262,887.22 for a new total of $20,384,894.10 and one year for a new end date of 12-31-22 to provide fire protection services within the municipal boundary of the City of Sheridan (FIRES-202160750; FIRES-201208809-09). Council Bill 21-1235 was approved by consent 21-1240 Amends a contract with Pro Tier Leadership, LLC by adding $91,200 for a new total of $779,950 and one year for a new end date of 12-31-22 to provide leadership development opportunities for multi-level managers and leaders in Denver Human Services, including training, consulting and coaching (SOCSV-2017-32824-06; SOCSV-202160209-06). Council Resolution 21-1240 was approved by consent 21-1246 Approves a grant agreement with Caring for Denver Foundation for $708,621 and through 8-31-24 for the Denver District Attorney Adult Diversion Program, citywide (DATTY-202160536).
