Minutes Safety, Housing, Education & Homelessness Committee Committee Members: Kniech, Chair; Kashmann, Vice-Chair; Flynn, Gilmore, Sandoval, Sawyer Committee Staff: Anne Wallace Wednesday, January 25, 2023, 10:30 AM City & County Building, Council Chambers, Room 450 Attendance Present: 6- Kniech, Sandoval, Sawyer, Torres, Flynn, Gilmore Absent: 1- Kashmann Action Items 23-0043 Approves a grant agreement with the Housing Authority of the City and County of Denver (DHA), as part of the state’s Innovative Housing Incentives Grant Program, for $693,810 and through 3-31-2024 to assist the West Denver Renaissance Collaborative (WDRC) in supporting eligible residents to build accessory dwelling units, with a focus on residents in West Denver neighborhoods (HOST-202266093). A motion offered by Councilmember Flynn, duly seconded by Councilmember Sawyer, that Council Bill 23-0043 be approved for filing, carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Kniech, Sandoval, Sawyer, Torres, Flynn, Gilmore Nay: 0 Absent: 1- Kashmann 23-0044 Approves a grant agreement with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver, Inc. for $736,183 and through 3-31-2024 as part of the state’s Innovative Housing Incentives Grant Program to make critical infrastructure improvements required to support housing and to build six affordable single-family homeownership units with up to three accessory dwelling units in the Villa Park neighborhood, located in Council District 3 (HOST-202266092).
