NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR AMENDMENTS TO THE 2017 BRIDGING NEIGHBORHOODS
RESOLUTION
The Committee of the Whole will hold a PUBLIC HEARING to discuss amendments to the
Bridging Neighborhood’s resolution adopted by The Detroit City Council on July 25, 2017. The
resolution requires two public hearings and states: “...Detroit City Council shall first hold a
minimum one public hearing on any such change, modification, or amendment north of I-75,
and a minimum one public hearing on any such change, modification, or amendment south of
I-75, and such hearings shall be held at a location in the community surrounding the Gordie
Howe Bridge, in the evening...”
Pursuant to the Michigan Open Meetings Act as amended, which authorizes the continued
use of hybrid electronic meetings to provide virtual public participation in accordance with
the requirements of MCL 15.263a(2), and in consideration of the ongoing and continuing
pandemic, the Detroit City Council will be meeting in person at the Patton Recreation
Center located at 2301 Woodmere St., Detroit, MI 48209 on THURSDAY, JULY 16,
2026, at 6:00 pm.
