FILED FOR SECOND READING: 1) An Ordinance Amending Chapter 46 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Edwardsville (Fire Department) – Creating Fire Department Deputy Chief Position 2) An Ordinance Amending Chapter 106 (Taxation) Sections 106-321 & 106-326 of the Codified Ordinances – (Municipal Hotel/Motel Tax) – Increases rate from 3% to 7% and directing that the proceeds of the tax be expanded and allocated as follows: 1.5% for tourism marketing and promotions; 1.5% for special events; 1% for special parks; and 3% for debt service on new parks and park improvements (Revised summary with additional information) B.
