Approval of minutes from the May 14, 2020 ACS meeting – Motion to approve (Krause), seconded (Morrison) and voted all ayes to forward to Council. 2. Correspondence & Announcements: None 3. Council Matters A. FILED FOR SECOND READING: None B. NEW ITEMS: 1) An Ordinance Reauthorizing Section 14-10 (Domesticated Chickens) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Edwardsville (first reading) – To date, one license has been issued. This week, one permit has been issued. This ordinance removes the mandatory 2 year review period. Motion to approve (Risavy), seconded (Krause) and voted all ayes to forward to Council. 1  2) Approval of a Sole Source Resolution for the Removal of the Barn at Plummer Family Park – Two local residents will remove the barn at no cost. They have submitted a hold harmless agreement which has been reviewed. They would be able to start in about 2 to 3 weeks. Motion to approve (Risvay), seconded (Krause) and voted all ayes to forward to Council. 3) Approval of Richards Brick Grant Agreement from the IDNR – to be distributed – The City has been awarded $150,000 from the State of Illinois Department of Natural Resource and the National Park Service’s Land and Water Conservation Fund program to acquire approximately 35 acres of woods to be used for passive recreation. This would give the City a total of $360,000 in grant funds for the purchase. The balance of the money that is required to purchase the land will come from the Community Redevelopment fund. The grant from MEPRD and IDNR have a two year limit to complete the project. Motion to approve (Risavy), seconded (Morrison) and voted all ayes to forward to Council. 4) Approval of an Ordinance Authorizing the Disposal of Certain Surplus Property Owned by the City of Edwardsville (Fire Engine 1318) – This was purchased used in 2007. The upkeep on it has been high. It is requested rules be suspended and this be done on first reading. Motion to suspend the rules and pass on first reading (Risavy), seconded (Morrison) and voted all ayes to forward to Council.
