The request for the extension was initiated by the Village of Pontoon Beach on behalf of Amichi Corporation which has signed a contract contingent on receiving Enterprise Zone incentives, namely real estate tax abatement and sales tax abatement on construction materials. (FOR APPROVAL) c) Second Reading of an Ordinance Amending Chapter 1242 by Rezoning 6191 Old Alton Edwardsville Road PID 14-2-15-03-15-401-007.001 from M-1 Light Manufacturing District to B-2 Commercial Business District – this ordinance amendment rezones the property at 6191 Old Alton Edwardsville Road from M- 1 Light Manufacturing District to B-2 Commercial/Business District. (FOR APPROVAL) 3|Page d) Second Reading of an Ordinance Amending Chapter 94 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Edwardsville (Signs) – the amendment to the sign ordinance codifies the “Human Scale Sign Policy” that results in reduced sign area ad height as the sign setback is moved closer to the front property line. “The Human Scale Sign Policy” was first applied in July of 2009 for Jack in the Box to allow a reduced sign setback and has continually been applied over the past nine years. (FOR APPROVAL) e) An Ordinance Amending Section 1248.02.2 of The City of Edwardsville Zoning Code (FIRST READING) f) Resolution Extending The Administrative Review Period During Which Fence Variances For The Installation of Fences Within An Easement Will Not Be Accepted – on May 15, 2018, the City Council approved a Resolution 238-05- 2018, creating a three-month review period during which variances for the installation of fences within easements would not be accepted.
