Cool Cities Agenda 1.16.14 Attending: Absent: Visitors: Call to Order December Minutes: Motion to approve- Second- Old Business/Updates  discuss designing a “Cool Cities” web page for the city-  Increase our commitment as a community to reducing green house gasses- develop a climate action plan based on our green house gas inventory  Rachel, Jamie, and EHS students to report the findings of their downtown merchant- “recycling survey”  Suggested that Andrea write an article about electric car charging  Nominating/considering potential new members- New Business/New areas of focus  EHS student s will present ideas about Edwardsville having an city “Earth Day “ awareness program and/or celebration  Gather new information about “solar w/ battery backup” traffic lights for safety purposes, results from the storm this past spring that knocked out the signals for more than a few hours on our main intersections causing several accidents that led to injuries- Meeting Adjourned Next Meeting Date 2.20.2014
