EDWARDSVILLE – SIUE COMMUNITY DESTINATION GROUP September 17, 2019 Present: Doug Rohrer Acting Chair, Cheryl Watson, Walt Williams, Tricia Lack, Kim Durr, Tyler Manning, Jacob Graham, Matt Butler, Cary Harvengt Absent: Chad Verbais, Mackenzie Rogers, Paul Pitts Doug opened the meeting at 6:00 pm Review of Minutes – July – Motion to approve minutes: Kim Durr motioned, Tyler Manning seconded. Financials – No changes Faculty mixer with City staff – Discussed getting started on planning. Checking into a location and date. SIUE Rotary Student of the Month – Tyler stated the student would be selected week of September 16th Advertising at SIUE - Matt will be advertising in MUC and for the Halloween Parade Welcome Back party for students– Kim reached out Miriam with SIUE Experience committee. They brainstormed some ideas for the Chancellor and the Mayor for next years SIUE Experience next year. Hashbrown Huddle – Date September 27, 2019. Discussed agenda and discussion points for event. Discussed how the event will be presented and executed. Ideas to bring the Edwardsville community and Campus together and new traditions – Brainstormed ideas. Will continue next meeting. Discussed setting up a table in Goshen to get the word out about events and news in the City. “Get to know the City” table in the MUC. Dates of future meetings – Meetings are held third Tuesday Adjournment – Motion to adjourn: Tyler Manning motioned, Jacob Graham seconded. Next meeting on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 6pm.
