EDWARDSVILLE – SIUE COMMUNITY DESTINATION GROUP December 17, 2019 Present: Chad Verbais Chair, Cheryl Watson, Tricia Lack, Cary Harvengt, Paul Pitts, Joel Hardman, Walter Williams Absent: Madelyn Walters, Doug Rohrer, Kim Durr, Jacob Graham, Matt Butler, Tyler Manning Chad opened the meeting at 6:03 pm Review of Minutes: Motion to approve minutes: Paul Pitts motioned, Joel Hardman seconded. Financials: Chad mentioned future expenses – Hanging rails for SIUE student art to be displayed. $82.00 Food Truck Friday: Reviewed letter created by Carey to send to vendors. Tentative dates: March 27t, April 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, May 1st, 29th, and Springboard in June. Art in the Library & City Hall: Cheryl discussed there is space for 14 pieces. Considered a four-month rotation of the art. SIUE Rotary Student of the Month: Tabled to next month when Tyler is present. Advertising at SIUE in MUC: Winter Market, Dueling Pianos Welcome Back party for students: Still in progress. Kim is absent. Bike Illinois: June 2020 Art in the City discussion: Discussed bringing in the Edwardsville Art Council for discussion. New Ideas and Traditions: SIUE faculty marching in the Halloween Parade, Successful Communities Collaborative: Member who attended gave an overview of the meetings.
