City of Edwardsville Finance Committee Minutes February 26, 2014 5:30 p.m. Present: Aldermen Tom Butts Chairman, Janet Stack, Rich Hampton, City Treasurer and Dennis W. McCracken, City Clerk/Collector. Alderman Risavy was not present. Also Present: Tim Harr, City Administrator, Eric Williams, City Engineer, Rick Welle, Fire Chief, Bob Pfeiffer, Parks Director, Jay Keeven, Director of Police, Devon Gray, IT Specialist, Kim Geminn, Joe Gugger Quorum present, Chairman Butts called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. No Public comments made. Motion by Stack, seconded by Butts, to approve Finance Committee minutes from January 29, 2014. Motion Carried with Stack and Butts voting aye. Group Health Insurance Fund Report amount of $388,955.22 Old Business: None New Business: Claims in the amount of $723,273.25 will be available for review. Forwarded to Council for approval on March 4, 2014. Motion by Stack, seconded by Butts, to approve and forward to ACS An Ordinance Approving the Transfer of Volume Cap in Connection with Private Activity Bond Issues and Related Matters (SWIDA). Motion Carried with Stack and Butts voting aye. Motion by Butts, seconded by Stack, to approve and forward to Council a Tourism request for funds in the amount of $5,000 for the Edwardsville Futures Professional Tennis Tournament with ½ of funds distributed in 2014 fiscal year (May 6 th) and ½ funds distributed after completion of accounting. Motion Carried with Stack and Butts voting aye. Discussion was held regarding salaries and benefits and Capital Expenditures for the 2014-15 Budget process. Finance Committee will meet on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. in the Governor Edwards Conference Room.
