Finance Committee Minutes
May 28, 2014
5:30 p.m.
Present: Aldermen Tom Butts Chairman, Wil Krause and Dennis W. McCracken, City Clerk.
Alderman Mallon was in attendance at the Administrative & Community Service Committee
and joined the Finance Committee meeting at 5:55 p.m.
Quorum present, Chairman Butts called the meeting to order at 5:45 p.m. No Public Comments
were made.
Motion by Butts, seconded by Krause, to approve Finance Committee minutes from May 14,
2014. Motion Carried with Krause and Butts voting aye.
Group Health Insurance Fund Report amount of $365,373.98
Old Business:
None
New Business:
Claims in the amount of $302,530.08. Forwarded to Council for approval on June 3, 2014.
An Ordinance Making Appropriations for the Fiscal Year Beginning the First Tuesday in May,
A.D., 2014 and Ending the Monday Preceding the First Tuesday in May, A.D., 2015 was
forwarded to the June 3rd Council meeting for first reading.
Alderman Krause left the meeting at 6:00 p.m.
Motion by Mallon, seconded by Butts, to approve purchase of Neo-Post DS-85 Inserter in the
amount of $19,036.00 and enter lease for postage machine in the amount of $378.39 per
month. Motion Carried with Mallon and Butts voting aye.
The next Finance Committee meeting will meet on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. in
the Governor Edwards Conference Room
Committee adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
