City of Edwardsville Finance Committee Minutes September 10, 2014 5:30 p.m. Present: Aldermen Tom Butts Chairman, Jeanette Mallon, and Dennis W. McCracken, City Clerk. Aldermen Krause was excused. Also Present at Meeting: Tim Harr, City Administrator, Jeff Berkbigler, City Attorney, Bob Pfeiffer, Parks Director, Jeff Mills, Major – Deputy Chief of Police, Eric Williams, Director of Public Works, Elizabeth Link, Matt Winte, Steve Ellsworth, Janet Stack, Aldermen Ward 3, Art Risavy, Aldermen Ward 7. Quorum present, Chairman Butts called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. No Public Comments were made. Motion by Mallon, seconded by Butts, to approve Finance Committee minutes from August 27, 2014. Motion Carried with Mallon and Butts voting aye. Group Health Insurance Fund Report amount of $403,817.13 Old Business: None New Business: Claims in the amount of $489,418.46 (Regular) and $51,027.00 (Library) for a total of $540,445.56. Forwarded to Council for approval on September 16, 2014. Motion by Mallon, seconded by Butts to approve Tourism Fund Request from Edwardsville Arts Center for Edwardsville Art Fair to be held October 17, 2014 through October 19, 2014 in the amount of $5,000.00 with ½ of funds distributed following City Council approval and ½ funds distributed after completion of accounting. Motion Carried with Mallon and Butts voting aye. Motion by Mallon, seconded by Butts to approve a Resolution Authorizing an Agreement to Encourage Development Within North Main Street T.I.F. District of the City of Edwardsville, Illinois for Rusty’s Redevelopment. Motion Carried with Mallon and Butts voting aye. The next Finance Committee meeting will meet on Thursday, October 02, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Governor Edwards Conference Room.
