The Employee Health insurance Advisory Committee voted to recommend changing medical insurance
coverage from United Healthcare to Cigna effective 01/01/2018.
Medical coverage will be the same with Cigna as currently with United Healthcare. No change in
benefits.
No change to Principal dental, vision, and life insurance coverage.
Overall cost increase 1% to plan. Rate sheet included.
This recommendation will be taken to Finance Committee 11/14/2017 and then forwarded to City
Council 11/21/2017 for approval.
Open enrollment meetings will be scheduled for 11/28/2017 and 11/29/2017.
