Meeting Minutes
Call to Order and Roll Call (6:04)
• The meeting was called to order by Chloe Bell
• Roll call was taken.
• The new Art Council Members, Bevin Baskin and William Watson, were introduced.
Approval of Meeting Agenda (6:11)
• Chloe Bell motioned to approve the agenda, approved unanimously.
Approval of November Minutes (6:11)
• Chloe Bell motioned to approve the March minutes, Bob Stafford seconded, approved
unanimously
Reports and Presentations (6:11)
• Sarah announced that the Community Arts Program would be reopened for a second
round to be decided in June.
New Business (6:15)
• The Arts Council discussed the Artist Jason Jones proposed piece for the Nelson
Hackett BLVD mural.
• Bob Stafford motioned to ratify the piece, Jessica Debari seconded, motion approved
unanimously.
Announcements (6:21)
• Weekend Starts to kick off soon in the Upper Ramble with Uark Music and Mount
Sequoyah.
• Community Arts Program proposals being accepted.
• Movies in the Park to return this summer with movies announced soon.
• Gulley Park Art Market vendors are opening now .
• Fine Arts Festival in the Upper Ramble on April 19.
• Pride and Prejudice open at theater Squared and summer stage applications opens.
• School of Art Grand reopening April 15 5- 7PM
• The library will be hosting writers’ weekend to work on poetry and drafts ending in an
open mic

• Chloe Bell motioned to approve the agenda, approved unanimously.

Unfinished Business (6:08)
• Erin Keaton’s mural design shown to the council with work to begin in April.
• The council reviewed the CAP proposals and discussed each activation proposed. The
council opted to split the funding with a second round of application opening to be
announced later. Fayetteville Frantic Film Fest, Plein Air painting by CCC,
MYTByDesign, Tanuki Circus Intro to Circus, NWA Jazz Allstars, and Ukulele Society
were selected to receive funding with activations to follow.
Reports and Presentations (6:01)
• Ted Jack Parks Planner presented updates to the art installation plans for Walker Park
with artist Jeremy Navarette. Three concepts were shown to the council, and the council
discussed the art installation.
Announcements (8:26)
• Gallery Hop on April 11
• Fine Arts Fair with some artist spots available
• School of Fine Art Center Grand Opening April 16 at 5PM. Visting lectures on April 9.
