Reports and Presentations None for this month Unfinished Business Celebration of Trees We have two locations and will split the trees accordingly for each location. The trees will arrive at the parking garage at 6:15 and at the square. Arrive at your location at 6:15. Spring Street Parking Garage - Leads Jim and Melissa Evans Staff - Ted, Melissa, Adriana, Jim, and Larry. 2 additional Parks employees Board Members at this location. Hannah, Jim, Katherine Farmers Market Square - Leads John and Hugo Staff - John, Hugo, Bethany, Alison, Kristina Jones (maybe) Board Members at the Farmers Market - Joe F., Carlo, Joe D. UF Planting Projects Legacy Detention Pond in Harmony Point Park — Plans are complete. We are setting a planting schedule. Plans are sent to the subcontractor. St. James Detention Pond Project — Plans are almost done. We need to follow up with the neighborhood. St. James Street Trees — Plans are complete and sent to subcontractor Park Meadows.- Rough plans are done. I am mailing the residents for permission to plant the trees Crystal Springs — They are getting trees for their detention pond from the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas Page 3 Urban Forestry Advisory Board October 1, 2025 celebration of trees and will plant them and care for them. The Cottages on Old Wire- Working with them for a multi year replacement of the sycamore trees as street trees, they are tearing up the sidewalks. Wood Reclamation Updates UDC Amendment Updates New Business Announcements Fayetteville Community Forester Class- Right Tree, Right location Right Tree, Right Location October 4th, 11am- the Rock Street Public meeting room October 7th, 6pm- the Rock Street Public meeting room Hiking with Teen Action and Support At Lake Fayetteville October 10 at 530. Teaching Tree Care- Arkansas Urban Forestry Council at noon virtually on October 16th. Hiking with the Forester - Mt. Kessler Regional Park, 10am to noon, Saddle Up Trail.
