Judging Panel & Criteria
The judges will include UFAB members, and I’ll also invite Fayetteville
Community Forester graduates to participate.
Photos will be judged on a 10-point scale in the following categories:
1. Biggest Site Impact / Improvement
o How dramatic is the change from before to after?
o Did they remove a significant amount of invasive plants?
2. Creativity
o Participants can have fun with this! Meme-style photos, humorous
captions, or artistic approaches are all welcome.
o For example: “Kristina! Bring me my axe!” followed by a playful
scene of someone chopping down a shrub, then enjoying a mimosa
in the cleared area.
o Photoshop, props, and storytelling are allowed—let’s see what our
creative community comes up with!
3. Photo Quality
o Is the image clear and well-composed?
4. Effort
o Does the photo reflect significant time and work invested in the
removal process?
I like keeping the guidelines a little open-ended to encourage creativity.
Fayetteville is full of imaginative people, and it’ll be exciting to see what they

produce!
