(Special Meeting)
CALL TO ORDER
The June 9, 2014 special meeting of the Geneva City Council was called to order at 7:47 p.m. in
the Council Chambers of City Hall by Ald. Craig Maladra. Aldermen present: Chuck Brown,
Mike Bruno, Dorothy Flanagan, Dean Kilburg, Craig Maladra, Richard Marks, Mary Seno, Tom
Simonian, Ron Singer. Aldermen absent: Don Cummings. Also attending: Mayor Kevin Burns,
City Administrator Mary McKittrick.
Approve 2014 Swedish Days Class E Liquor Licenses for Gratto, Chianti’s and American
Legion
Moved by Ald. Marks, seconded by Ald. Singer to approve 2014 Swedish Days Class E Liquor
Licenses for Gratto, Chianti’s and American Legion. Roll call:
AYES: 9 (Ald. Brown, Bruno, Flanagan, Kilburg, Maladra, Marks, Seno, Simonian, Singer)
NAYS: 0 MOTION CARRIED
Waive Fee for Special Council Meeting
Moved by Ald. Flanagan, seconded by Ald. Simonian that the fee for the special Council
meeting be waived. Carried unanimously by voice vote. MOTION CARRIED
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, moved by Ald. Singer, seconded by Ald. Flanagan to adjourn
the special Geneva City Council meeting. Carried by voice vote.
The meeting adjourned at 7:49 p.m.

Executive Summary:
Applications for special event liquor licenses have been received from the following
establishments:
*Class E-3/American Legion Post 75 at 22 S. Second St. (June 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22)
*Class E-4/Gratto Italian Tapas at 207 S. Third St. (June 20, 21)
*Class E-4/Chianti’s at 220 Campbell St. (June 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22)
Building, Police & Fire Depts. will inspect each site prior to license issuance to ensure
full compliance of the City Code as it relates to the special event liquor license (including
noise restrictions for outdoor amplified music for all locations except for the Legion
Post).
