That, she said, will be the City’s challenge. She then defined the department’s mission and operation, and presented data that provided specifics on the Geneva’s recent and present economic outlook. 1334 Geneva City Council Meeting August 18, 2014 She then discussed business conditions by reviewing the city’s tax base and job creation, sales tax revenues and losses, and business distribution. Continuing, she provided information on the department’s recruiting programs and policies. Divita backed all of her comments with specific examples and detailed visuals. She then took questions. Mayor Pro Tem Kilburg asked as to the impact of the past severe winter on downtown sales. Dir.
