COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES JANUARY 27, 2014 PRESENT: Mayor Burns, Ald. Brown, Bruno, Flanagan, Kilburg, Maladra, Marks, Simonian, Singer ABSENT: Ald. Cummings Also Present: McKittrick, Dawkins, Dinges, VanGyseghem AGENDA 1. Call to Order Chairman Marks called the meeting to order at 7:00pm noting that Ald. Cummings was absent. 2. Consider Consent Agenda Moved by Ald. Singer, second by Ald. Brown V/V: 8-0 Motion carried. *3. Approve Committee of the Whole Minutes from January 13, 2014. Approved on consent agenda 4. Items of Business a. Recommend Draft Resolution Authorizing Execution of Engineering Services Contract with CDM Smith at a Cost Not to Exceed $139,082 for Wastewater Treatment Plant Facility Plan Update. Supt. VanGyseghem noted that this was for an engineering agreement to see what upgrades would be needed with the new State of Illinois regulations. Dinges stated that this was done via RFQ process allowed by State law. Dinges noted that this report/plan will also show options for other discharge opportunities. Moved by Ald. Singer, second by Ald. Maladra V/V: 8-0 Motion carried. b. Recommend Draft Ordinance Granting a Sign Variance in B1 Business District to Allow Wall Sign at 2095 S. Kirk Road (Country House Restaurant). Moved by Ald. Maladra, second by Ald. Simonian V/V: 8-0 Motion carried. c. Recommend Draft Resolution Authorizing Execution of Two-Year (2014 and 2015) Farm Lease Agreement with Steve Pitstick Farms for Prairie Green Preserve. Moved by Ald. Simonian, second by Ald.
