Board of Fire and Police Commission City of Geneva 22 South First Street Geneva, IL 60134 Minutes of the January 14, 2014 Meeting Conference Room – Geneva Fire Department ____________________________________________________________ Commissioners in Attendance: Arnold Northrup, Brad Koontz, and Suanne Tompkinson. Others in Attendance-None. Meeting was called to order at 7:04 pm by Commissioner Northrup. A) APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion: A motion was made by Commissioner Northrup that the minutes from the November 11, 2013 meeting be approved as presented. Seconded by Commissioner Koontz. All Aye, motion passed. B) PUBLIC COMMENTARY – None. C) COMMUNICATIONS – Commissioner Northrup spoke to Mary McKittrick and informed her that we may have to make changes to the Rules & Regulations. She said she would look into the cost of it and let us know. D) UNFINISHED BUSINESS 1) The Board went over the tasks on the Recruiting Schedule for the New Police Officer hire and the Police Commander promotion. Commissioner Northup made a motion to charge the Police Officer applicants a $25.00 application fee, seconded by Commissioner Koontz. 2) Tasks from the Recruiting Schedule were assigned as follows: Commissioner Northrup will handle tasks 1 thru 5 for the Police Officer and 2, 3, 4, & 5 for the Police Commander. Commissioner Tompkinson will handle tasks 6 & 8 for the Police Officer and task 1 for the Police Commander. The Board members will keep each other informed as tasks are confirmed. E) NEW BUSINESS - None F) ADJOURNMENT Motion: A motion was made by Commissioner Koontz that the meeting be adjourned. Seconded by Commissioner Tompkinson. All Aye. The meeting adjourned at 7:21 pm
