Board of Fire and Police Commission City of Geneva 22 South First Street Geneva, IL 60134 Minutes of the September 17, 2014 Meeting Conference Room – Geneva Fire Department ____________________________________________________________ Commissioners in Attendance: Arnold Northrup and, Brad Koontz, Suanne Tompkinson was not in attendance. Others in Attendance-None. Meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm by Commissioner Northrup. A) APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion: A motion was made by Commissioner Northrup that the minutes from the August 28th, 2014 meeting be approved as presented. Seconded by Commissioner Koontz. All Aye, motion passed. B) PUBLIC COMMENTARY – None. C) COMMUNICATIONS – 1) We were notified that two Officers are being hired by the GFD , Nicholas Volz and Eric Blazer, 1 UNFINISHED BUSINESS – Review task sheet for Battalion Chief testing and interviews. We will be confirming test date and location. -Reviewed task sheet for Firefighter promotions to Lieutenant. 2 NEW BUSINESS – Discussed recent legislation actions that will impact future Firefighter testing and are planning on reviewing it after the current testing cycle has been completed. 3 ADJOURNMENT Motion: A motion was made by Commissioner Northrup that the meeting be adjourned. Seconded by Commissioner Koontz. All Aye. The meeting adjourned at 7:25pm. The next meeting is scheduled for October 21st, 7:00pm – Fire Department
