City of Geneva Board of Fire and Police Commission Meeting Geneva Fire Department Conference Room 200 East Side Drive, Geneva, IL 60134 Minutes of the June 3, 2015 Meeting 1. CALL TO ORDER Chair Northrup called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. PRESENT: Chair Arnold Northrup and Commissioner Jennifer McMahon ABSENT: None 2. ITEMS OF BUSINESS a. APPROVAL OF THE APRIL 15, 2015 MINUTES Commissioner McMahon moved to approve the minutes of April 15, 2015, as presented. Seconded by Chair Northrup and unanimously passed by those present. b. PUBLIC COMMENTARY None. c. CORRESPONDENCE Chair Northrup reviewed correspondence from Assistant City Administrator Dawkins regarding the publication of the Board’s new rules and regulations, correspondence from Commissioner Koontz indicating his resignation from the Board, correspondence regarding his replacement, and correspondence with the Fire Chief regarding upcoming appointments and recruitments. 3. UNFINISHED BUSINESS a. Review task lists for upcoming examinations 1. Chair Northrup reviewed the schedule for the Fire Lieutenant Promotional list. 2. Chair Northrup reviewed the schedule for the Firefighter/Paramedic list and noted that everything was complete and a meeting should be set at the end of July to review the recruitment ad. 3. Chair Northrup reviewed the schedule for the Police Sergeant Promotional list and noted that the test site was scheduled. 4. NEW BUSINESS a. Election of Board President and Secretary Board of Fire and Police Commission Meeting June 3, 2015 Page 2 of 2 Commissioner McMahon moved to appoint Arnold Northrup as Chair and Jennifer McMahon as Secretary. Seconded by Chair Northrup and unanimously passed by those present. b. The next meeting will be scheduled for July 28, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. 5. ADJOURNMENT Chair Northrup moved to adjourn the meeting.
