International Cultural Exchange Committee A Subcommittee of Geneva’s Strategic Advisory Committee SPAC Geneva City Hall Conference Room (2nd floor), 22 South First Street, Geneva, IL 60134 MINUTES: Tuesday, February 17th at 5:15pm  CALL TO ORDER –Present: Cynthia Albright, David Bald, Pam Cabeen, Kari Kraus, Lynn Landberg. Guests – Denise Snyder, Lorraine Ochsner and Christine Lambert SPAC Liaison – Bob Backus SPAC Alternate – Brendan Cassin Absent: Angela Chalberg Pool, Bobbi Alderfer  APPROVAL OF MINUTES – The minutes of January were approved as read.  TREASURER’S REPORT –Angela will update accounts during the March meeting.  GGAG – Lorraine Ochsner stated that the date of the ‘en plein air’ will be Friday, May 29th. The exact times are yet to be determined. The work that is produced that Friday will be on display on the courthouse lawn (corner of Campbell and James) on Saturday from 10-6 and Sunday from 11-4. ICEC will be providing support by making the ties between Croissy and Geneva through information, pictures, a powerpoint, etc.  WEBSITE- Cynthia- Transition to City Website is waiting for the logo changes. Icecgeneva.org will redirect to our new landing page on the City of Geneva website.  ICEC LOGO- ICEC provided a $25.00 gift certificate for the City of Geneva and candy coated pretzels for the class.  BANNER - a purchase not to exceed $250.00. David Bald made the motion, Pam Cabeen seconded the motion. The motion carried.  EMAIL TO OUR MEMBERS… David and Kari will work to send out a Mailchimp by February 24th with important upcoming dates.  ECI/GHS/MIDDLE SCHOOL EXCHANGES – Pam reported that Marissa Parker of the ECI visited all GHS French students on February 5th. French students will be visiting from July 10 – 30 and July 31 – August 20. Pam is advertising this as “Host a French student and make a friend from France this summer.”  CROISSY DELEGATION VISIT FALL 2015 – ICEC has set the dates for the delegation visit from September 11 – 15, 2015 during the Festival of the Vine.  The THEME will be THE RIVER! Venues and and a Spring fundraiser are still being discussed.  NEW PROJECTS for 2015- updates *David and Pam will host a film discussion at GPLD, Sunday March15th. The film will be The Chorus. This coincides with the Geneva Film Festival which is hosting film makers from March 12 – 15th. *KARI - is getting PHILPPE involved to renew contacts with the school. *Future projects - ‘visit on your own’ “A Day in the Life”  SWEDISH LIAISON – Lynn will be working with Steve Andersson to seek a Swedish connection.  SWEDEN VAST – We still need a chairperson for Saturday JUNE 27 from 10 – 3.  NEXT MEETING DATE- Wednesday MARCH 11, regular meeting date  ADJOURNMENT at 6:20 pm.
