International Cultural Exchange Committee A Subcommittee of Geneva’s Advisory Committee SPAC Geneva City Hall – Date November 11, 2015 Minutes 1. The meeting called to order at 5:32pm 2. Members present: Albright, Cabeen, Chalberg-Pool, Alderfer,Kraus, and Snyder. Members absent: Bald. SPAC liaison present: Clements. SPAC liaison absent: Cassin. 3. Approval of October minutes: Chalberg-Pool moved, Cabeen second. 4. Treasurer report: Receipts are almost all in from French Delegation visit. We will have approximately $2,400 in our accounts after all expenses are paid out. 5. Media: Jim Alderfer helped set up the Google Account to share information among ICEC board. 6. GPLD Sunday Cinema: Board member David Bald was not in attendance to update us on the November showing of the Lunch Box as part of the library’s Sunday Cinema program. It was noted that in the most recent flyer put out by the library there is no mention of Sunday Cinema in the upcoming months. 7. Update from Croissy: Cynthia is in touch with Jony. There are a several ideas that the French group is considering about inviting a Geneva Delegation to visit. They may arrange a photo exhibit with all of their partner cities asking each one to submit photos of their particular towns and areas. Cynthia will keep us informed as she hears updates from Jony. 8. New projects: • Kari Kraus continues to look for opportunities to do student art project exchanges with students here and in Croissy. She will follow up by contacting Jony.  • Planting a Friendship Garden Urn: We will continue to think about the idea of doing a shared garden here in Geneva and Croissy. Pam Cabeen and Denise Snyder will explore getting the Geneva Garden Club involved in this activity. • Potential summer 2016 events will be discussed at future meetings. 9.
