Commissioner Training Workshop Thursday, June 5, 2014 - 7pm Flavors of North America (FONA) 1900 Averill Road, Geneva, Illinois 60134 The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning has teamed up with the Illinois Chapter of the American Planning Association and the Chaddick Institute for Metropolitan Development at DePaul University to provide expert faculty who will lead plan commissioners, zoning board of appeals members, other advisory commission members, and elected officials from the cities of Batavia, Geneva, and St. Charles and the village of North Aurora through in-depth workshop curriculum that includes:  Planning History  Planning Tools – master plans, zoning codes, etc.  Role of the Commissioners  Role of Others in the process  Basics of “Findings of Fact”  Open Meetings/Ethics  Regional Planning  Special Topics Workshop Agenda 1.
