However, the timing of the break is dependent upon the progression of the discussion.   Reflect on the City of Geneva’s existing seven visions and affirm their importance in guiding the Council and staff.  Are there new initiatives the City Council should be considering?  Prioritize and define initiatives that will make up the City Council’s 2015 work plan Agenda Item Outcomes: Affirm ownership of Geneva’s Strategic Plan. Discuss, adjust and embrace the critical elements of the Strategic Plan to identify and define the Council’s priority work plan initiatives for FY 2016. Capital Investments 11:45 p.m. – Noon In anticipation of the upcoming budget development, staff will provide an overview of potential capital projects for FY2016. Agenda Item Outcome: Receive preliminary information about the budget development. Lunch Noon – 12:30 p.m. The Council‐Staff Partnership 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. The day will conclude with a discussion regarding the difference—and importance—in the roles and perspectives of the elected officials and the staff. Agenda Item Outcome: Develop a common understanding of each valued perspective and renew commitments to the council‐staff partnership. Adjourn 2 p.m.
