SPECIAL SESSION MINUTES Village of Glen Ellyn Board of Fire and Police Commissioners Special Session Meeting Monday, April 14, 2025 11:15 AM Glen Ellyn Police Department, EOC 65 S Park Blvd Glen Ellyn Board Member Attendance: Commissioner Chair Taylor Commissioner Borello Commissioner Meyers Others in Attendance: Jim Monson, Commander of Operations Kathy Vonachen, Village of Glen Ellyn Quorum: Yes Call To Order: Meeting was called to order at 11:15 AM by Commissioner Chair Taylor. Public Comments: None Approval of Minutes: None Old Business: Reviewed assessment center dates and times. Motion to Enter Executive Session: At 11:20 AM, Commissioner Chair Taylor moved to go into Executive Session for the purpose of discussion, pursuant to Section 2(c)(3) of Open Meetings Act, for the purpose of selection of police officer candidates. 3 Yeas; 0 Nays. Motion carried. Commissioner Borello moved to go back into Open Session at 11:25 AM. 3 Yeas; 0 Nays. Motion carried. New Business: Commissioner Borello moved to not move candidate #L2503 forward in the hiring process. 3 Yeas; 0 Nay. Motion carried. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 3:30 PM in the Glen Ellyn Police Department Community Room.
