AGENDA DESIGN REVIEW BOARD COUNCIL CHAMBERS 613 E. Broadway, 2nd Floor Glendale, CA 91206 Meetings are broadcast live on Glendale TV, viewable on Spectrum Cable, channel 6, and AT&T U- verse, channel 99. Meetings are also streamed live in high definition (HD) on the city's webpage, glendaleca.gov/live, on YouTube.com/myglendale, and on Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire devices using a free app called Screenweave and choosing “Glendale TV” from the menu. REPORTS REGARDING POSTING OF AGENDA The Agenda for the March 9, 2023 Regular Meeting of the Glendale Design Review Board was posted on the City’s website on March 2, 2023, and on the Bulletin Board outside City Hall on March 6, 2023. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1 a. Approval of Design Review Board Minutes from Febuary 9, 2023. 4. ORAL COMMUNICATION Discussion is limited to items not a part of this agenda. NEW BUSINESS a. ITEM: 1349 Thompson Avenue DRB Case No. 2120772 PROJECT DESCRIPTION The applicant is proposing to demolish a 1,434 square-foot (SF), one-story single-family house (originally constructed in 1923) with a detached garage, and construct a two-story, 2,305 SF house with a detached, two-car garage on an approximately 7,849 SF lot in the R1-I (FAR District I) Zone. ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION The project is exempt from CEQA review as a Class 3 “New Construction” exemption pursuant to Section 15303 of the State CEQA Guidelines because the project consists of one new single-family residence in a residential zone. b. ITEM: 1214 Allen Avenue DRB Case No. 2119659 PROJECT DESCRIPTION The applicant proposes to demolish the existing single-family residence (built in 1925) and construct a new, two-story, 2,177 square-foot single-family house. The existing detached garage will be partially demolished, reducing its size to 463 square feet, and rebuilt to match the new primary dwelling. ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION The project is exempt from CEQA review as a Class 3 “New Construction” exemption pursuant to Section 15303 of the State CEQA Guidelines because the project consists of one new single-family residence in a residential zone. 8.
