verse, channel 99. Meetings are also streamed live in high definition (HD) on the city's webpage,
glendaleca.gov/live, on YouTube.com/myglendale, and on Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire
devices using a free app called Screenweave and choosing “Glendale TV” from the menu. Meetings

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, auxiliary hearing aids, sign
language translation, and Braille transcripts are available upon request. Assisted listening devices

requests regarding sign language translation and Braille transcription services. All documents
related to open session items on this agenda that are received less than 72 hours prior to this
meeting, and are public records, will be available for review in the Planning Division, Municipal
Services Building, 633 E. Broadway, RM 103.
Translation services are provided for meetings through the use of bilingual staff for speakers who
wish to utilize the service as available. Speakers should state their request by contacting the City

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
To demolish the existing commercial stable buildings and associated structures (originally
developed in 1939) and construct three new buildings with 15 surface parking spaces for a
commercial stable and kennel on a 44,682 square-foot (SF) corner lot (pending alley
vacation approval), located in the CE (Commercial Equestrian) Zone. The project includes
a new 1-story, 4,224 SF barn with 16 stables, a 1-story, 4,793 SF building to be used as a
kennel, an outdoor corral, and a 630 SF accessory building. The project site is currently
39,985 SF and the project scope includes a future application to vacate an existing alley at
the rear of the site. The total lot size after the alley vacation will be 44,682 SF.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION
The project is exempt from CEQA review as a Class 32 “Infill Development” exemption,
pursuant to Section 15332 of the State CEQA Guidelines, because the project meets all of
the conditions for an in-fill development project.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
To demolish the two existing multi-family residential buildings with eight units (built in 1942)
and detached carports, and to construct a new three-story, 17-unit multi-family residential
project with a 47-space, two-level subterranean parking garage on an approximately
17,100 square-foot project site comprised of two lots zoned R-1250 (High Density
Residential).
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION
The project is exempt from CEQA review as a Class 32 “Infill Development” exemption,
pursuant to Section 15332 of the State CEQA Guidelines, because the project meets all of
the conditions for an in-fill development project.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
CONTINUED TO AUGUST 24, 2023. To construct a new 2,010 square-foot, three-story,
single-family house with an attached two-car garage on a vacant 6,708 square-foot,
downhill-sloped lot (average current slope 60%), located in the R1R-II (Floor Area Ratio
District II) zone. Site improvements involve grading 800 cubic yards (cut and fill).
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION
The project is exempt from CEQA review as a Class 3 “New Construction or Conversion of
Small Structures” exemption, pursuant to Section 15303 of the State CEQA Guidelines,
because the project involves the demolition and construction of a single-family dwelling.
