AGENDA HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION COUNCIL CHAMBERS 613 E. Broadway, 2nd Floor Glendale, CA 91206 Meetings are broadcast live on Glendale TV, viewable on Spectrum Cable, channel 6, and AT&T U- verse, channel 99. Meetings are also streamed live in high definition (HD) on the city's webpage, glendaleca.gov/live, on YouTube.com/myglendale, and on Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire devices using a free app called Screenweave and choosing “Glendale TV” from the menu. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1 a. Approval of Historic Preservation Commission Minutes from April 21, 2022 and June 16, 2022 4. ORAL COMMUNICATION Discussion is limited to items not a part of this agenda. ITEM: Grayson Repowering Project: Review of Demolition Clearance Application PDRV 2210032 PROJECT DESCRIPTION GWP requests review of the Demolition Clearance Application regarding the demolition of the Grayson Power Plant boiler building as part of the Grayson Repowering Project. ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION After reviewing the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) for the project, City Council certified the FEIR, adopted a Statement of Overriding Considerations to allow for the demolition of the Grayson boiler building, and adopted an MMRP in compliance with the California Public Resources Code §§21000 et seq. and the CEQA Guidelines §§15000 et seq. It should be noted that the City’s certification of the FEIR has been challenged in two separate lawsuits filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging among other things, inadequate CEQA review. There are no legal encumbrances that preclude the HPC from acting on the City’s request to approve or disapprove a demolition clearance for the Project. 8. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT UPDATES a.
