AGENDA PARKS, RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING COUNCIL CHAMBERS 613 E. Broadway, 2nd Floor Glendale, CA 91206 Meetings are broadcast live on Glendale TV, viewable on Spectrum Cable, channel 6, and AT&T U- verse, channel 99. Meetings are also streamed live in high definition (HD) on the city's webpage, glendaleca.gov/live, on YouTube.com/myglendale, and on Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire devices using a free app called Screenweave and choosing “Glendale TV” from the menu. DVDs of the proceedings are available for purchase in the City Clerk's Office. For public comments and questions during the meeting, call (818) 937-8100. Public comments on a specific agenda item will be taken when that agenda item is discussed. JANUARY 23, 2023 AT 2:30 PM A SPECIAL MEETING of the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission is hereby called to meet at 2:30 PM on January 23, 2023, in the Council Chambers to consider the following items of business, to wit: 1. ROLL CALL a. Report of Recording Clerk, re: Posting of the Agenda. The Agenda for the January 23, 2023, special meeting was posted on the bulletin board outside City Hall on or before January 20, 2023. 2. UPCOMING COUNCIL AGENDA ITEMS 3. COMMISSION/STAFF COMMENTS 4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Discussion is limited to items not a part of this agenda. Each speaker is allowed five (5) minutes. The Commission may question the speaker, but there will be no debate or decision. The Director may refer the matter to the proper section for investigation and report. 5. CONSENT ITEMS (Including Minutes) The following are routine and may be acted upon by one motion. Any member of the Commission or audience requesting separate consideration may do so by making such request before motion is proposed. a. Approval of the Minutes of the Commission regular meeting held on November 21, 2022. 6. ACTION ITEMS a. Proposed fees for memorial plaques to be placed on benches or picnic table sets at parks and park facilities in the City of Glendale 1. Resolution establishing new fees for memorial plaques, with a bench or picnic table set, at parks and park facilities in the City of Glendale and recommending that the Glendale City Council incorporate into the “Comprehensive Citywide Fee Schedule” the changes made to the CSP Department Wide Fee Schedule, effective February 23, 2023. b. Emerald Isle Playground 1. Motion recommending that the City Council approve the design for the Emerald Isle Playground Replacement Project, dispense with competitive bidding process, and authorize the Purchasing Administrator or a designee to execute a purchase order with PlayCore Wisconsin Inc., d/b/a GameTime for the purchase and installation of playground equipment at Emerald Isle Park. 7.
