In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, auxiliary hearing aids, sign
language translation, and Braille transcripts are available upon request. Assisted listening devices
are available same-day upon request. At least 48 hours (or two business days) notice is required for
requests regarding sign language translation and Braille transcription services. All documents
related to open session items on this agenda that are received less than 72 hours prior to this
meeting, and are public records, will be available for review in the Office of the City Clerk, 613 E.
Broadway, RM 110, Glendale, CA 91206.
Translation services are provided for meetings through the use of bilingual staff for speakers who
wish to utilize the service as available. Speakers should state their request by contacting the City

the language for which you require translation. The exclusive use of City provided interpreters is not

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The applicant is requesting the approval of standards and setback variances for a 14-foot,
10-inch street front setback and 14-foot, 10-inch driveway length along the northwest side
of an existing 1,128 square-foot one-story, single-family residence in association with a
project which includes 2,228 square-foot addition and a new 891 square-foot garage on a
15,250 square-foot lot, zoned R1 (Low Density Residential Zone), Floor Area Ratio District
II, described as Lot 4, Record of Survey Book 55 Page 34 / APN: 5604-008-042, in the City
of Glendale, County of Los Angeles.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION
The project is exempt from environmental review as a Class 1 “Existing Facility” pursuant to
Section 15301 of the State CEQA Guidelines because the proposed addition to the existing
house will not result in an increase of more than 10,000 square feet and the project is in an
area where all public services and facilities are available and is not located in an
environmentally sensitive area.
