CALL TO ORDER Mayor Habib called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm. II. BUSINESS ITEM(S) a. DISCUSSION OF ANNEXATION PETITION FOR TMS# 223-13-03-038 Alexis Kiser presented a proposal to City Council to annex property located along St. James Avenue, .55 acres, currently zoned General Commercial and would be proposed to remain as such if annexed. Mr. Kevin Whalley and Mr. Tim Hilkhuijsen, of Architecture Plus, briefed City Council as to what the plans were surrounding the project for an upscale laundromat. All of City Council’s questions were thoroughly answered. b. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GOOSE CREEK, SOUTH CAROLINA, TO APPOINT A DESIGNEE AS IT RELATES TO BUSINESS LICENSE APPEALS OF THE CITY OF GOOSE CREEK Tyler Howanyk briefed City Council on a proposed Resolution to appoint a designee, as it relates to Business License Appeals for the City. He stated currently all business license appeals go directly before City Council. The proposed Resolution would change that, and the appeal would initially go before the Assistant City Administrator; and, if it cannot be resolved, it would then go before City Council for review and consideration of suspensions or revocations of business licenses. All of City Council’s questions were thoroughly answered. c. SEWER REPAIRS AT CROWFIELD GOLF Natalie Zeigler stated there was an issue with the sewer line, specifically on the women’s restroom side, it is an emergency repair at this point and City staff would like to move forward. City Council was fully informed of the details. Mayor Habib stated staff needed to move forward with the project as the line was old; all of City Council agreed. All of City Council’s questions were thoroughly answered. Page 1 of 2  d. PROPOSED SPEED HUMP INSTALLATION – LUCY DRIVE Natalie Zeigler thoroughly briefed City Council concerning a request for traffic calming on Lucy Drive. She stated the application was submitted and all the required qualifications have been met. This is County Councilmember Phillip Obie’s district, and she stated he said he would fund half of the project. She requested the item be placed on the regular City Council Meeting agenda for April. All of City Council’s questions were thoroughly answered. e. REQUEST TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH TRIDENT CONSTRUCTION FOR THE ASSEMBLY AT GOOSE CREEK Alexis Kiser briefed City Council on where things stood with construction of The Assembly and stated site work has begun with the silt fence and metal fencing will begin Thursday. Natalie Zeigler, Tyler Howanyk and Alexis continued with a full briefing regarding pricing and the contract. All of City Council’s questions were thoroughly answered. III.
