MEETING MINUTES
July 11, 2022, at 1:00 pm

Meeting called to order: 1:00 pm
Present: Commissioners Clerk Joel Hondorp, Assessor Paula Grivins-Jastifer, City
Attorney Anita Hitchcock
Absent:
1. Presiding: Commissioner Hondorp
2. Roll Call: Commissioners Hondorp, Grivins-Jastifer, Hitchcock
3. Public Comments on items on the Agenda:
None
4. Election Commission Resolution:
1) Resolution to appoint Election Inspectors for the August 2, 2022, Primary
Election
2) Resolution to designate Receiving Board Team members
3) Resolution to designate Absentee Counting Board Team Members
Comm. Hondorp presented each resolution and provided comments regarding the
Michigan Election Law provisions regarding the responsibilities of a local Board of
Election Commissioners to appoint Election Inspectors 20-45 days in advance of the
election and to designate Receiving Board Team and Absentee Counting Board Team
members in accordance with the Michigan Election Law.
The resolutions were presented to Comm. Grivins-Jastifer and Hitchcock for their review.
Election Comm. Grivins-Jastifer, supported by Election Comm. Hitchcock, moved to
approve:
1. Resolution to appoint Election Inspectors for the August 2, 2022, Primary Election.
Vote: 3- Yea 0- Nay Passed
2. Resolution to designate Receiving Board Team members for the August 2, 2022,
Primary Election.
Vote: 3- Yea 0- Nay Passed
3. Resolution to designate Absentee Counting Board Team Members for the August
2, 2022, Primary Election.
Vote: 3- Yea 0- Nay Passed
