Development Center Report - July 2023 Jon Oeverman presented the report and answered questions. Urban League Black Business Voice presentation Jeremiah Gracia thanked the 11+ partner organizations involved in this inclusive effort. Mr. Gracia introduced Rodney Brown and Eric Brown to give their presentation on Black Business Engagement and Advisory Initiative. The framework includes stakeholder engagement events, outreach for database building, and an advisory consortium. Mr. Brown gave examples of best practices of Inclusive cities around the country. The group will be sharing this framework at Wealthy Street Theatre on August 28 at 6 pm. Brownfield Redevelopment Authority Legislative Update Jonathan Klooster gave a presentation on adopted legislative changes and an overview of proposed process and timeline to consider policy amendments and program implementation. Mr. Klooster spoke about housing development finance and cost of affordability as most of the amendments are housing focused. Next steps are for a subcommittee of the Brownfield Authority to work with staff to make the necessary Brownfield Authority policy amendments for approval and implementation.
