EV Carshare and EV Infrastructure Update • Erin Evenhouse summarizes the EV Carshare and EV Infrastructure Update discussion item. • Commissioner Mathis asks if there is a lot of competition for this grant. • Evenhouse responds that it is difficult to say, since it is such a new area. 2. Bus Stop Improvement Program Update • Kevin Tracy summarizes the Bus Stop Improvements discussion item. • Commissioner Wells suggests that staff work with the private realm to find constructions projects where the reinforced concrete can be installed. Many times, bonuses are provided for projects that help add bus infrastructure. • Commissioner Monoyios adds that it is very complicated and difficult to manage projects that may seem easy, such as adding a bus shelter. 3. Lime Pass/Mobility Pass Program Update Generated 8/31/2023 02:09 PM Mobile GR Commission Meeting Full Page 2 August 3, 2023 • Trent Cerra summarizes the Lime Pass/Mobility Pass Program Update discussion item. • Commissioner Wells asks when the price changes will go into effect. • Cerra states that it will be sometime in the next few weeks, staff is working with Lime on coordinating the change with the launch of the pass. • Commissioner Monoyios asks what the key take aways are from the Shared Mobility Program so far. • Cerra responds that in the Grand Rapids ridership data shows that people are using this to get around all over the City, not just in downtown, but to get around neighborhoods and in day to day usage. This isn’t the case in all cities with this program, and Cerra states this is very encouraging. • Commissioner Monoyios also asks if these trips are connecting to other forms of transportation. • Cerra responds that we are hoping to get that sort of data from the Lime Pass program. • Commissioner Patton says that he appreciates staff pushing back on Lime trying to pivot away from the subsidy program, since that was one of the main reasons they were chosen coming out of the pilot program. • Commissioners thank Cerra and staff for their work on this program.
