Gilles says that himself and other city departments work closely with the Office of Communications to make sure the tone remains appropriate and differentiates between department accounts and the City wide account which keeps a more serious and professional approach. Gilles also adds that many time when engaged with, the negative comments become more positive after a short conversation. 2. Micromobility Ridership Summary · Trent Cerra summarizes the Micromobility Ridership Summary discussion item. · Commissioner Clark asks what safety warnings or advice is given when riders start a ride with the app. · Cerra responds that there is a message that shows up when you start a ride. The message shows you the proper rules that need to be followed when using the app and riding the devices. Staff is still focusing on increasing safety messaging outside the app to help increase safe riding behavior. · Commissioner Parkes asks about messaging related to folks who were not properly using the DPZs and leaving scooters or bikes in the sidewalk. · Cerra responds that there is a fine for the bad behavior currently, but staff can certainly make that a priority with messaging also. · Naramore responds that staff have been able to see full data related to scooter and bicycle safety, while there has been crashes related to drinking, overall the data shows that it is much safer to be using the scooters or bicycles than using a vehicle, especially when drinking. Of course, transit is the best option. · Commissioner Monoyios asks what the peak usage time is for the scooters and bikes. Cerra also adds that staff will be surveying participants and riders that take part in the Lime Affordability Pass program that is upcoming. 3.
