The meeting was called to order at 4:03 PM by Secretary Duane Culver

Verah Narh-Kamara presented this item. Two volunteer requests were received for
Chair and Vice-chair ahead of the meeting. Alan Hartline volunteered for secretary and
Commissioner Ysasi presented the 2022 slate of officers for approval.
Motion to approve the slate of officers for 2022: Brianna Forbes as Chair,
Kim Bode as Vice-chair, and Alan Hartline as Secretary.

VII. Reports
No committee meetings were held in January. Ms. Brianna provided updates on the
committees and projects.
1. Business Development Committee
This committee is currently inactive.
2. Design Committee
Ms. Brianna noted she is working on communicating to the city about the Bio-retention
Island cleanup process. The last cleanup resulted in a spill of chemicals that affected
the vegetation on the island.
VIII. Other Business
1. Committee/Board Member Update
The board discussed the current state of the committees and agreed they need to
regroup to revamp the committees. Kim Bode suggested each board member be tasked
with recruiting two volunteers each to join a committee.
Commissioner Ysasi also suggested she will reach out to Michael Lomonaco about
meeting attendance.
2. Façade Program Application
The board discussed the Facade program and the application process. There is one
application pending for review and approval by the board. Since there are currently no
active committee to assist with the process, Commissioner Ysasi suggested the review
and approval discussion should be done at the February meeting.
3. Economic Development in the Corridor
Ms. Kim had questions about empty buildings in the district and what the business
development committee is doing about them. Commissioner Ysasi requested Ms. Verah
to have a representative of the Economic Development Project Team (EDPT) come to
the next meeting to provide an overview of economic development in their district.
4. Corridor Manager Search Update
The Corridor manager search was discussed, and the board agreed to promote the
position on the Best of Creston website.
Applications will be reviewed and considered at the next meeting.
