MEMBERS PRESENT: Jay Hamann, Paul Janquart, Richard Laurent, Thomas Aziere, and
Diane Midthun.

T. Aziere called the meeting to order.
2. Roll call
K. Teske did a roll call. All members were present.
3. Election of chair and vice chair
Motion by D. Midthun, seconded by P. Janquart to nominate Tom Aziere as chairman.
Roll Call: Ayes: J. Hamann, P. Janquart, R. Laurent, T. Aziere, D. Midthun.
Noes: None. Motion carried.
Motion by D. Midthun, seconded by J. Hamann to nominate Paul Janquart as vice
chairman. Roll Call: Ayes: J. Hamann, P. Janquart, R. Laurent, T. Aziere, D. Midthun.

4. Review of rolls by Board
5. Clerk’s statement
K. Teske stated that all the legal requirements under state statute to convene this Board of
Review were met. She certified under §70.46, Wis. Stats., that J. Hamann, P. Janquart,
T. Aziere, and D. Midthun received the qualified training, the assessment roll had been
received and the clerk and the board had reviewed for double assessments and other
apparent errors. An open book session was held on April 24, 2017, in the Assessor’s
office and the Assessor was present. The level of assessment is at 102%.
6. Presentation by City Assessor Russ Schwandt
R. Schwandt provided an overview of commercial and residential evaluations.
7. Procedural review by Assistant City Attorney Joanne Bungert
J. Bungert provided an overview of the role of the Board of Review and their duties.
8. Waiver of the required 48-hour notice of intent to file an objection when there is
good cause.
The Pine Street Cat Company, LLC, owner Steven J. Schneider, property located at
417 Pine Street.
Mike Kochaver, Nicole Tesch, and Kim Wayte were sworn in by K. Teske.
Steve J. Schneider was sworn in by K. Teske.
Motion by P. Janquart, seconded by R. Laurent to deny the request to waive the required
48-hour notice of intent to file an objection.

9. Waiver of the Board of Review hearing allowing owner an appeal directly to Circuit
Court.

Mason Street.
Motion by R. Laurent, seconded by D. Midthun to approve the request to waive the
Board of Review hearing allowing owner an appeal directly to Circuit Court.
