Business Improvement District Board Meeting Online via Microsoft Teams September 21, 2020 8:00 a.m. Meeting Minutes Present: Rick Chernick, Jim DuBois, Sue Lagerman, Warren Wanezek, Jeff Mirkes (Executive Director), Jenny VandenLangenberg (Staff), Matthew Buchanan, Wendy Townsend 1. Call to Order- Rick called the meeting to order at 8:06 a.m. 2. Accept and Place on File Minutes of February 11, 2020: Warren moved to approve the minutes as presented. Sue seconded, and the motion carried. 3. Review and approve the 2021 BID Operating Plan: Jenny walked through the Operating Plan budget and she and Jeff answered questions about current and future staffing. We do not anticipate the need to furlough or reduce staff at this time. The BID members were happy to see BID funding staying steady and the objectives set forth by the Staff. Warren moved to approve the BID Operating Plan as presented. Sue seconded and the motion carried. 4. For the Good of the Order: Warren expressed that he would like to step down from the DGBI Board and BID Board at the end of 2020. Jeff thanked him for his many years of leadership and in-kind legal assistance for our organization. The group discussed possible board members that could join the BID Board for 2021. They include: Greg Babcock, Ian Griffiths, Karmen Lemke, or Steve VanLannen. Sue would like to see two added to bring the total members to six. Jeff will be in touch with these prospects and work with the City to get two on board for 2021. 5.
