In compliance with Governor Pritzker’s mandate, any individual appearing in person must wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth. Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov. ROLL CALL Also Present: Rev. NEW BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS a. Reveiw IACA General Operating Grant Notification - $15,950 Chairman Dorris recaps the grant awarded to the Commission in the amount of $15,950. Chairman Dorris requests that the subcommittees meet prior to the November 2021 meeting and come back with complete project ideas that require funding but must be revenue generating. Heritage Sculpture Raffle Awardees - $1,550 raised Chairman Dorris recaps the Heritage sculpture project, the scope of the project and the total earning of $1,550 from raffle sales. i. Report from October 20, 2021 Combined Vision 2021 and Bylaws Committee Meeting Chairman Millen recapped the joint meeting of the Bylaws and Vision 2021 meeting. Any changes to the bylaws will be tables until the ordinance amendment is decided upon by Council. The committee also determined the subcommittees should meet prior to the November 2021 meeting with project ideas. ii. Funding Committee - Eryn Blaser, Chairperson No report. iii. Arts Incubation Committee - Quinn Adamowski, Chairperson Chairman Adamowski notes the subcommittee has not met recently but allows member Eric Gorder to review the recordation process of the public art and mural assessment that the Incubation subcommittee has undertaken in the last several months. Gorder reviews the rubric and revision process, recaps discussion and public comments received. iv. Arts Innovation Committee - Lorinda Carmine, Chairperson Carmine is absent, Liaison Katie Smith passed along a link to a Google document for commissioners to complete for biographies. PUBLIC COMMENT ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Gorder, seconded by Summers, that the October 20, 2021 meeting be adjourned. The motion carried unanimously.
